These experiences, especially in the steel industry, emphasised the importance of building trust and strong relationships. Patience and positivity are central to my approach to strategising for the future. In an ever-evolving industry, maintaining a calm and optimistic mindset is essential for overcoming challenges. Instead of rushing decisions, I focus on thoughtful, long-term strategies while considering short-term impacts. This approach helps maintain a lean operational model, ensuring cost-effectiveness without sacrificing quality. By prioritising efficiency and adaptability, we minimise risks and stay well-prepared for future challenges.

What decision had the most impact on you and the company?

Prioritising quality over cost was one of the most significant decisions I made, and it had a profound impact on both me and the company. In a highly competitive market, many were cutting costs by compromising on quality, but I believed that investing in superior materials and technology would set us apart. Despite facing criticism and doubts, I stayed firm in my conviction. Today, that decision has paid off. It has helped us build a strong reputation for quality, earn customer loyalty, and solidify our position in the market, proving that integrity and excellence always lead to long-term success.

By leveraging technology, we aimed to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain quality. Aligning day-to-day tasks with this vision ensures that every action contributes to our sustainable future.

What’s the most important lesson you’ve learnt in your 15+ years in the industry?

In a competitive sector like steel, it’s easy to be tempted by shortcuts, but upholding integrity, quality, and transparency is key to long-term success.
