In the starting year of 2018, the company has launched its fastest and expensive phones which are going to give stiff competition to other smartphones like Apple’s iPhone X, the OnePlus 5T, LG V30.
In the previous year, the company has enjoyed a period of success with the launch of S8 but users had found some faults like the weirdly-positioned fingerprint sensor, the lack of dual-cameras, an easily-fooled facial recognition system, and many more. By fixing all of these bugs and adding new features company had introduced S9 and S9plus to its users in four variant colors including Midnight Black, Titanium Gray, Lilac Purple, and Coral Blue.
The displays of Galaxy S9 will be 5.8 inch Super AMOLED edge to edge screen with QHD+ resolution and also in addition with an on-screen fingerprint scanner while the only difference in the screen of S9+ is its size 6.2 inch.
As this is the fastest flagship of the company, the smartphone will ship with Android 8 (Oreo) and with 4GB and 6GB of RAM to S9 and S9+ respectively, with the inbuilt storage of 64GB in S9 and 128GB in S9+ and up to 256GB through microSD. According to a source speaking, the company is offering Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 845 processor to US and China and Samsung’s own chipset Exynos 9810 to rest of the world. The processors bring up to 30% faster performance and also promise a longer battery life.
The primary camera of S9 is 12MP single rear camera with an 8MP secondary camera while the primary camera of S9+ is a 12MP dual camera with the 8MP secondary camera. The only difference is the dual camera setup. The battery backup of the smartphones is 3000mAh and 3500mAh non-removable battery of S9 and S9+ respectively. The S9 and S9+ have all the features of the predecessor series S8 and S8+ like IP68 water resistance, wireless charging and many more.
