A Canadian smartphone-maker, BlackBerry is all set to jump on bringing a premium phone to India called The BlackBerry Ghost a High-end Android Smartphone which appears to have a bezel-less 18:9 displays. According to the latest rumors, the handset will remain exclusive in India as it is being made by Optiemus Infracom Ltd., a Delhi based Telecom Company.

The company has three global partners who are responsible for marketing and have the rights to manufacture BlackBerry devices across the world. One of the major partners is Optiemus in India and other is China’s TCL Communications.

The announcement was first made by the famous tipster and gadget-unearther Evan Blass in a tweet, who also leaked images of upcoming BlackBerry handset with the name called “Ghost.” He wrote, “BlackBerry ‘Ghost’: a bezel-less, premium Android smartphone from licensee Optiemus is coming soon to India.”

The leaked image does not reveal much about the BlackBerry Ghost, except that device will appear to have a slim bezel-less display with 18:9 aspect ratios and will run Android. It is quite possible that the high-end smartphone will have a tall display with slightly rounded corners and is expected to launch in the upcoming few months.

Though, some rumors have confirmed that the handset will definitely not have a keyboard but no other details regarding specifications and pricing have been revealed by the company. For now, the company is yet to officially reveal the actual name of the handset.

The BlackBerry, formerly called Research in Motion had stopped creating and designing its own handset since 2016 but licenses the brand out to others so that phones keep taking place in the market. With new BlackBerry smartphones from one of its global partners named TCL Communication such as KeyOne, Motion, DTEK60, the company has built a solid foundation to continue building their portfolio.

TCL sells BlackBerry devices in over 50 countries around the world except for India, Indonesia, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Bangladesh.
