Samsung Unveiled its New Range of Flagship QLED Smart TVs that can Blend into Any Wall- just like a Chameleon
At an event in New York March 7, Samsung Unveiled its New Range of Flagship QLED Smart TVs and one model can blend in with your wall — just like a chameleon.
The Korean tech giant has figured out a way to almost make your TV magically disappear. Its next-generation QLED TVs are equipped with a standout feature called Ambient Mode, which enables the TV to blend in surrounding environment whenever it’s turned off, making them almost magically disappear.
In order to turn on this standout feature, users need to mount their TV on the wall and open Samsung’s SmartThings app, which allows you to set up and control your TV apps using your phone. From there users need to take a snap of their wall on which it’s going to hang on. Doesn’t matter whether it is white surface, brick, wood, plain or patterned wallpaper, the ambient mode works on every surface. After that users can set their snap as the TV’s background.
This standout feature uses color and matching pattern technology to mimic the pattern on the wall behind the TV. The ambient mode creates an astonishing visual effect like a floating black rectangle blend seamlessly into the wall. In short, the company’s new Ambient Mode tries to redefine televisions beyond just rectangular hanging black boxes.
These TVs also displays information on the TV screen like time, weather, traffic, and news updates even when people aren’t watching movies or TV. Samsung on Monday released five new QLED models which range from 49 to 82 inches in size.
All the models have an inbuilt timer for ambient mode so that they will consume less electricity and are equipped with smart security systems, IoT devices, voice-activated speakers, smart bulbs, and thermostats.
However, the Korean giant has not announced the price but has confirmed that they will become available in the market in the next few weeks.
