What initial challenges did you face with Elvikon, and how did you overcome them?

Starting Elvikon presented several challenges, with establishing market credibility being the foremost. To overcome this, we focused on deeply understanding client needs and aligning our processes with their goals, ensuring a strong foundation of trust. Building a skilled and motivated team was another hurdle. We needed experts across multiple disciplines who were passionate about problem-solving. By offering creative freedom, along with ongoing training and professional development, we ensured our team stayed at the forefront of industry advancements. Securing clients and funding was also critical. We formed partnerships with academic institutions and industry leaders and pursued public grants, providing essential resources and financial support to sustain our operations.

What strategies and innovations have most effectively driven Elvikon’s growth?

Elvikon’s growth is driven by our client-centric approach. We focus on deeply understanding each client’s unique challenges and developing tailored solutions. What are Elvikon’s long-term goals, and how are you working to achieve them?

Rather than focussing on rigid long-term goals, Elvikon prioritises adaptable shortterm objectives. By supporting early-phase companies in product development and commercialisation, we aim for sustainable growth. Our client-centric approach, commitment to innovation, and strong team development drive our success and enable us to bring innovative products to life

What are the best and worst aspects of being a CEO, and why?

The best part of being a CEO is the opportunity to engage with visionary entrepreneurs and talented individuals. Discussing their unique ideas and challenges and helping them bring their visions to life is incredibly rewarding. Building relationships with these “super brains” and witnessing their growth and success is fulfilling. However, the role also comes with significant challenges. The constant pressure and immense responsibility of making decisions that impact the company, employees, and clients can be stressful. Balancing R&D, finances, employee well-being, and client relationships requires constant effort, but I find value in learning from each challenge.

What unexpected lessons have shaped your approach to business?

As a first-generation entrepreneur, my journey has taught me invaluable lessons. One key insight was the importance of effective liaison with various stakeholders, including government bodies. This ensures smooth operations and simplifies complex industrial policies. Setting up our R&D facility from scratch was a significant learning curve. From selecting the location to meeting technical and safety requirements, attention to detail became crucial. This experience enhanced my overall focus on precision across all business areas. Managing the company’s administration, including human resources, operations, and regulatory compliance, was an unexpected challenge. It underscored the need for a reliable administrative team and effective delegation. These skills have been essential in driving Elvikon’s growth, allowing us to navigate challenges and seize opportunities effectively
