Facebook Captures the Maker of Prominent VR Game ‘Beat Saber’

On Tuesday, Facebook announced its acquisition of Beat Games, the studio behind hit virtual-reality game “Beat Saber”. In a blog post, Miku Verdu, Oculus director of content, said “Beat Games” accomplishments are already impressive but the facebook team knows that there is much more that can be done across games, music, and VR. The beat game will join the Oculus division of facebook but it will employ independently out of Prague, the company said. “Beat Saber” is a prominent VR game. In the game, the players swing virtual sabers at incoming blocks in sync with the music, like that of the renowned “guitar Hero” series of the 2000s. Interested one can buy the game from Oculus Store for $29.99. The Beat Game will continue to support “Beat Saber” across all currently-supported game platforms-the company said.
