Adani, Google Join to Power India’s Clean Energy Future

Adani Group and Google collaborated to advance the companies’ joint sustainability objectives and contribute to the growth of clean energy in India. Through the collaboration, Adani will be able to provide clean energy from a brand-new solar-wind hybrid project in Khavda, Gujarat, the site of the largest renewable energy plant in the world. According to an official press release, this new project is expected to begin its commercial operations in the third quarter of 2025.

India’s leading renewable energy company, Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL), is heading the country’s transition to clean energy. It is well-equipped to provide customised energy solutions for commercial and industrial (C&I) clients because of its track record in executing large-scale renewable projects and executing  large-scale renewable projects, including wind, solar, hybrid, and energy storage. This strategic collaboration aims to help enterprises satisfy their energy needs while lowering their carbon footprints. Adani intends to focus on growing its market share in the merchant and C&I sectors going forward since this is an essential step towards decarbonising many industries with a green energy mission.

The partnership supports Google’s “24/7 carbon-free energy goal” by utilising clean energy sources in India, according to the press release. This ensures that Google’s cloud services and operations are powered by clean energy, promoting the company’s sustainable expansion.
