PNB Appointed M Paramasivam As Executive Director 

M Paramasivam is appointed as the executive director of the Punjab National Bank, with the approval of the Appointment Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) of the bank. 

Paramasivam has a rich experience of 32 years in the banking sector. He is an agriculture graduate and started his career as Agriculture Extension Officer at Canara Bank in 1990. Along with this, he also served as Branch Head of VLB, Regional and Circle Head of various Regional and Circle offices. He also headed the Priority Credit Wing at the Head Office. 

His experience and contribution are spread across multiple domains, including Branch Banking, Credit, Priority Sector, Forex & Trade Finance, and Compliance, among others.

M Paramasivam Responsibilities At PNB And Key Points 

  • Paramasivam played a key role in the launch of Agri Credit Centers per EASE-3 norms. 
  • He also participated in the Leadership Development Strategy Programme run by the Indian Bank’s Association and the Banks Boards Bureau (BBB). 
  • Under his tenure at Canara Bank’s head office as Wing Head of the Priority Credit Wing, the FRUITS Portal was launched in collaboration with NABARD and the Karnataka State Government. 
  • His vast experience in the banking sector would further enable him to thrive in his new role.
