What motivated you to bring European-style luxury holiday rentals to India, and how did My Goa Villas come to life?
There is a saying that “Home is not a place, it’s a feeling,” and that’s exactly what I wanted to create when I started My Goa Villas. My journey into luxury holiday rentals didn’t just begin in India—it started over two decades ago in Tenerife, Canary Islands, where I built a successful villa rental business. When I moved to India nine years ago, I saw a gap in the market—travellers craved luxury, comfort, and seamless hospitality, but these elements were often missing. Having lived and breathed hospitality for over 20 years, I knew how to bring European service standards, aesthetics, and attention to detail into India’s holiday rental space. For me, it wasn’t just about providing a place to stay; it was about curating an experience—one where guests feel pampered, relaxed, and at home, no matter how far they’ve traveled. That vision laid the foundation for My Goa Villas, blending the best of European hospitality with the rich, tropical charm of Goa.
How has your multicultural background shaped your leadership, customer service, and business strategy at My Goa Villas?
Bringing European hospitality standards to India wasn’t just about replicating what I knew—it was about adapting, refining, and elevating. It wasn’t easy, but I was determined to get it right. From hiring the right staff to constantly training them, I focused on service that goes beyond expectations.We offered more than guests expected, and my European experience helped me with that. That meant using the highest quality bed linens, creating our own toiletries brand, and designing our villas to reflect true five-star luxury. Over the years, I’ve realised that guest satisfaction isn’t just about luxury—it’s about product offering, strategic marketing, and outstanding reviews. Mastering this balance has been key to making My Goa Villas what it is today.
You’ve already established yourself as a top holiday rentals and management player. Now, I hear you’ve expanded—can you tell us about this new milestone?
This year, I finally brought one of my biggest dreams to life—our first signature MGV Villa. After years of managing luxury rentals, I wanted to create something truly my own, something different. I spent the last two years designing and overseeing every detail, from the open lounge with a professional bar to en-suite bedrooms featuring open showers with plants growing from the ground. It’s not just a villa—it’s an experience where every space flows seamlessly with nature. This isn’t Bali; this is Assagao, reimagined in a way only I could envision.
How do you maintain high standards while managing the daily operations?
Perfection isn’t a one-time effort—it’s a daily commitment. That’s the mindset I bring to My Goa Villas. Everything runs like clockwork because everything is organised and checked every day— from cleaning to services to maintenance. I don’t believe in leaving anything to chance. Quality isn’t just about luxury interiors; it’s about the consistency of experience. Whether it’s fresh linens, a spotless space, or seamless service, I ensure every detail meets our five-star standards, no matter how busy the season gets. That’s what keeps our guests coming back.
