India’s popular podcaster and YouTub content creator Ranveer Allahbadia’s YouTube channels, including Beer Biceps, were hacked last night and renamed Tesla. His Beer Biceps was renamed “@Elon.trump.tesla_live2024,” while his personal channel was changed to “@Tesla.event.trump_2024.” All the interviews and podcasts have been deleted from the YouTube channels, and new videos with older streams from Elon Musk and Donald Trump’s events have been uploaded.
The investigation suggested that the hackers may have used phishing emails to gain unauthorised access to Ranveer’s YouTube account. It is possible that Ranveer’s account-managing team mistakenly clicked on a malicious link that downloaded malware and gained access to its cookies, enabling hackers to control his account. This is a common trick that scammers generally use to hack anyone’s account. Hackers craft legitimate emails or notifications that trick users into filling in their login credentials or downloading harmful software.
Before this, India’s Supreme Court YouTube Channel also faced a cyber attack.
