50 attorneys general is all set to investigate Google. They are preparing to expand their antitrust probe beyond the company’s advertising business to dive more deeply into its search and Android Businesses. The attorneys general, representing 48 states, Puerto Rico and Washington, D.C. will write subpoenas known as civil investigative demands or CIDs just to support inquiries-said by the audience. Probe leader- Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, announced the investigation during a September news conference that emphasized Google’s dominance in the ad market and the use of consumer data. In a recent meeting- Paxton expressed his support for expanding the probe’s purview into Google’s search and android business.
