Terms & Conditions
This website, listed as www.Tradeflock.com, collects personally identified information and data of the individuals, their companies, and their company’s demographics, including (i) when you provide us data while registering or signing up for any of our products like emails, newsletters, memberships, subscriptions, White Papers, RSS Feeds, conferences and other communications with the Publisher (ii) when you register for any other TradeFlock products/Services manually, your information will be known to the Publisher and (iii) once in a while we may add other data collected from third party sources to upgrade the information you provided the Publisher.
The following constitutes the Privacy Policy adopted by TradeFlock magazine concerning its website and any ancillary websites or services operated by the magazine (collectively referred to in this Privacy Policy as the “Site”).
Changes
The Privacy Policy may change every once in a while without your notice, so you should review it every time you are planning to submit personal information to understand how your provided information will be used. Any changes to the Privacy Policy will be effective prospectively, not retroactively.
Third Parties
Although we venture to require third-party content providers and other parties to adhere to our policies, we are not accountable for any action or policy of the third parties or for the information practices of any third-party site whose links may be provided on the Tradeflock.
Collection of Information
We collect data from visitors who volunteer at TradeFlock in various ways. Particular identifying information, such as name, street, city, zip code, state and email address, is gathered at specific interactive areas on the site, like when you subscribe to our print or digital publication while online. Wherever possible and practical, we give our users an option to submit information.
Telephone, Mobile numbers, Postal addresses, and other personal identifying information may be collected from the online users (and our print subscribers) and used for promoting Publisher’s products and services. The information may also be rented and/or licensed to select outside firms for promotional purposes. With your express consent, we may also use your mobile number to promote other services and products of the Publisher and related companies. Further, your mobile number may be used to promote the products and services of carefully chosen third parties.Â
At any time, you are free to “opt-out” of receiving communications via your mobile from the Publisher and the third parties by clicking the unsubscribe link of any individual message you may receive or by writing to the address provided in the “Contact Us” section.
Subscriptions
You may subscribe to the digital or print version of TradeFlock by following the relevant instructions on the site. All the subscription-related information is collected and stored by our fulfilment house.
Cookies and IP Addresses
To offer and provide personalised services, we use cookies to limit the times a particular advertisement is shown to a user as the user navigates through the site. A cookie is a short data file that some websites write to the hard drive when you visit them; it may contain information such as a user ID, which is used to track the pages you have visited by the site. The only personal data a cookie can contain is information you yourself supply; it cannot read data off your hard disk or damage your files.
You will receive a warning message with every cookie if your browser is set to warn you before accepting cookies. You also have the option to refuse cookies by disabling them on your browser.
We also record IP addresses in our log files. The IP addresses may be used to administer the site, track users’ movement, analyse trends, to gather broad demographic information for aggregate use and similar purposes.
Use of the Information Collected
From time to time, we may be approached by third parties interested in identifying subscribers to our print or digital publication. We may provide them with our publications’ mailing list (but not email addresses) if we believe the subscribers in question would be interested in hearing from them.
Concerning advertisements, an advertiser informs us which type of audience it seeks, and we may place advertisements on the TradeFlock that fits the advertiser’s criteria. Pop-up advertisements may also be displayed to the targeted audience based on these criteria. The advertisers are not allowed to access your account or any personally identifiable information.
We also use tracking information to determine which areas our site users like and do not like based on traffic to those areas.
We create cumulative reports on users’ demographics and traffic patterns for advertisers, which allows us to advertise more effectively and help receive advertisements suitable to their interests. We don’t track the individual user’s usage patterns, so an advertiser will never know if an individual user clicked on a particular ad.
Information Sharing
When you visit the site and are requested to provide your personal information, you are sharing that information strictly with us unless precisely stated otherwise in this Privacy Policy or in any notice given to you when the information was requested. We will not disclose the data you submit, except as described herein, or when we believe that the law requires disclosure to protect our rights and property or for other purposes, we deem necessary to maintain. For example, we may grant access to our database through services providing third parties, such as technical maintenance, but only to the extent necessary. Suppose you want your data to be private; in that case, you may choose not to allow the data to be collected or transferred by not providing your personal information or by not using a particular service.
Security Measures
The site has technical and organisational security measures in place, including firewalls, to protect the information under our control from accidental or unlawful destruction or accidental loss, alteration, unauthorised disclosure, or access. Such measures do not guarantee the prevention of loss, misuse, or alteration of information, so while we strive to protect your information, we cannot warrant the security of the information you transmit to us.Â
Other Information About Your Privacy
You should be aware that whenever you willingly disclose any information online in a chat room or any bulletin board, that information can be saved and used by others. In other words, when you post personal information online which can be accessed by the public, there are chances that you receive unsolicited messages from other parties, or your information may be used in other ways. So we suggest being responsible and careful whenever you are online.
Updating, Correcting, Deleting or Restricting Personal Information
Choose not to allow your personally identifiable information to be transferred by letting us know through emails, calls, or by writing to us; if you do not want it to be shared, you can. You may also contact us to review and/or correct your personally identifiable information.
