What challenges did you face early in your career, and how did you overcome them?

My early career was marked by several challenges. After graduating in 1994, finding a job was difficult, leading me to work part-time at Jain Hospital for a modest salary. Securing a position at Jindal Charitable Hospital was a breakthrough, but I faced further hurdles in advancing my career. To improve my skills, I pursued additional studies in CT and MRI, which increased my earning potential. Moving to Bengaluru and applying for a role at Columbia Asia Hospital was challenging, as initial vacancies were filled. I didn’t lose hope; I reapplied the following year. I also had to enhance my computer and communication skills, with the hospital’s support helping me navigate these obstacles and achieve career growth. Thanks to those rough days and the learning, today, I am an expert in running hospital operations.

How do RADBLOX and VICTORY Healthcare enhance radiology through education and training?

RADBLOX and VICTORY Healthcare advance radiology through their dedicated education and training efforts. We offer a Certificate Course in Cross-sectional Imaging, featuring a comprehensive curriculum that includes hands-on experience and lectures from expert radiologists. This programme equips technologists with practical skills using advanced post-processing software and real-life cases. We emphasise safety in radiation and MRI, adhering to industry best practices. Additionally, we provide post-training placement assistance for high-performing candidates, facilitating their entry into top hospitals. Our aim is to elevate radiology standards by ensuring technologists are highly skilled and knowledgeable.

What is the future of radiology with emerging technologies like AI?

The future of radiology is promising, with AI poised to transform the field. AI can enhance diagnostic accuracy, streamline workflows, and support personalised medicine. At RADBLOX Teleradiology, we’re integrating AI to assist in analysing complex images, identifying subtle patterns, and offering real-time decision support. Despite these advancements, the human element remains vital. Technology should complement, not replace, the expertise of radiologists. The future will likely see a synergy between cutting-edge technology and skilled professionals. We aim to lead in this evolving landscape, continually advancing our services with the latest innovations.

What inspired you to start RADBLOX Teleradiology, and what are its main goals?

I established RADBLOX Teleradiology to address the critical gaps in radiological services, particularly in remote areas. My extensive experience in hospitals highlighted the need for high-quality imaging. RADBLOX aims to redefine radiology and teleradiology by enhancing crosssectional imaging quality, which is essential for accurate diagnosis and treatment. We focus on developing technologists’ skills through rigorous training programmes led by top specialists and technical experts. Our core objective is to provide exceptional radiological services, ensuring even the most remote locations have access to toptier imaging technology and expertise. We also provide training to engineers with the leading medical equipment vendors.

What key milestones have shaped your approach to healthcare and radiology?

Key milestones have profoundly shaped my approach to healthcare and radiology. Leading the radiology department at Columbia Asia Hospitals, I scaled services across 12 hospitals in eight cities and three countries, emphasising standardisation and quality control. Working with the Siloam Group of Hospitals in Indonesia, I led radiology business transformation programmes, broadening my understanding of global healthcare standards. Founding RADBLOX Teleradiology further reflects my commitment to accessible, high-quality radiological services. These experiences have deepened my belief in the transformative power of education, training, and technological innovation in healthcare.
