What key moments in your career led you to your role as Head of HR at VTP Group?

Success in the real estate industry isn’t just about market dynamics; it’s about people. Throughout my career at VTP Group, I’ve passionately believed that happy employees are the cornerstone of a thriving business. Early in my journey, I saw that true employee well-being goes far beyond just salaries. I became deeply interested in how teamwork and overall happiness drive productivity. This passion led me to transcend traditional HR tasks. A defining moment was understanding the profound link between employees’ family happiness and their work performance. I championed programmes that supported employees and their families, creating a nurturing environment beyond the workplace. This initiative made our team feel truly valued and motivated. Additionally, I advocated for continuous learning and career growth opportunities, enabling VTP Group to unlock its workforce’s full potential. Through unwavering dedication, I transformed HR into a strategic partner, seamlessly aligning company goals with our incredible talent. My journey at VTP Group has been about forging a culture where happiness fuels success, ensuring both the company and its people flourish.

What’s the biggest HR challenge in real estate, and how have you tackled it?

The pandemic disrupted the real estate
industry, which relies on face-to-face
interactions. At VTP Group, transitioning
to remote work was a significant challenge.
We adopted a strategic approach, providing
our team with the necessary tools and
resources, maintaining open communication,
and preserving our unique culture through
virtual engagement. This approach not only
ensured business continuity and safety but
also established a resilient, future-proof HR
framework. Our experience underscores
the importance of adaptability and strategic
thinking for HR leaders in today’s dynamic
business environment.

How do you balance your professional responsibilities with life outside of work?

Balancing professional responsibilities and personal life can feel like walking a tightrope. As a leader, the pressure can be immense, making work-life balance seem elusive. However, rather than strictly separating work and life, finding a unifying passion that energises both can be the key. I used to be a workaholic, blurring the lines between work and personal life until I burned out. This taught me that true balance isn’t about strict separation but about discovering a passion that fuels both realms. Now, the energy I bring to my leadership role also enhances my personal life. Activities like hiking, volunteering, and spending time with family not only provide relaxation but also invigorate my work. Work-life balance isn’t a fixed 50/50 split but a rhythm driven by passion. This rhythm creates a fulfilling journey where both work and personal life thrive. By finding what excites you, both professionally and personally, you can achieve a balanced and successful life.

What are your future aspirations, and how will you achieve them?

At VTP Group, we aim to create a workplace where exceptional people achieve extraordinary things. We attract talent passionate about innovation and growth and ensure their success through programmes focused on well-being, empowerment, and recognition. We invest in continuous training to keep our team at the forefront of industry advancements and provide comprehensive benefits to support worklife balance. By fostering a dynamic and supportive environment, we build a dedicated and passionate team, making VTP Group an outstanding and exciting place to work.

Who has inspired your leadership style, and how?

My greatest inspiration is Sachin Bhandari, ED and CEO of VTP Realty. As a mentor, he supported and trusted me with significant responsibilities, empowering me to make impactful contributions. His leadership taught me the value of genuine trust and how to foster a company culture aligned with personal goals. By leading with a clear vision and championing personal growth, he’s influenced my leadership philosophy profoundly, showing me how to achieve and live success in harmony with the company’s values.
