Ola Electric to Boost its 4680 Bharat Cell Platform

The largest riding service company in India, Ola Electric, made a major announcement to expand its 4680 Bharat Cell Platform. This initiative aims to streamline the purchase of 4680 Bharat cells (1.5KWh platform pack) for applications across automobiles, robots, drones, and portable medical equipment, benefiting businesses and startups by enabling direct purchase.

Additionally, the Bengaluru-based company said in a statement that it enables businesses and startups to innovate and grow rapidly with new energy storage solutions designed, engineered, and manufactured in India. The company also said that its residential Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) solutions, Ola Shakti, are now available for purchase, with deliveries of 6kW/9.1kWh starting at the end of January 2026 and 3kW/5.2kWh starting mid-February 2026.

Moreover, Ola has begun deliveries of its flagship motorcycles, the Roadster and X + 9.1KWh, powered by the 4680 Bharat Cell, delivering a range of up upto 500 km on a single charge. Meanwhile, the company has increased deliveries of the S1 Pro+ 5.2kWh  in PAN India.
