Spain PM And Narendra Modi To Inaugurate TASL Plant

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sanchez arrived in Vadodara early morning on Monday for a three-day India visit. During this visit, PM Modi and Pedro will hold bilateral talks and inaugurate the Final Assembly Line (FAL) plant of the C295 medium-lift tactical transport aircraft for the Indian Air Force. What makes this visit significant is that it’s the first arrival of the head of the Spanish government in India in 18 years. 

Before the inauguration of the Final Assembly Line plant, which is a partnership between Tata Advanced System (TASL) and Airbus Defense and Space (Airbus DS), Pedro will join PM Narendra Modi on a roadshow. The news agency PTI shared that the roadshow will be 2.5 km from the airport to the Tata facility and include unique cultural shows en route. 

Both leaders will hold a bilateral talk at the historical Laxmi Vilas Palace. This meeting is organised by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA). Indian MEA S Jaishankar will also call on Spain’s PM in his meeting. Pedro Sanchez and Narendra Modi will have lunch in the Laxmi Vilas Palace. 

Before leaving India, the Spanish leader will also visit Mumbai, where he will interact with trade and industry leaders, think tanks, and film industry celebs. According to the schedule shared by the MEA, Pedro Sanchez will leave for Spain at around 12.30 AM on Wednesday.
