Samsung Unveils State-Of-The-Art AI Television Technology

Korean tech giant Samsung, the world’s biggest television company, started its 2024 South Asia Tech Seminar in Bangkok, Thailand, in style. The company showcased some of its latest offerings in the television sector. With AI features, Samsung unveiled its NEO QLED 8K TV and Samsung OLED 4K TV. According to Samsung, AI has immense possibilities in the TV industry. The 8K TV contains an NQ8 AI Gen3 chip that allows the TV to upscale any content to 8K. Also, it can adjust the sound and picture attributes based on what you are doing, such as listening to music, watching movies, playing games, or using it for office work. 

India Aiming To Become The Biggest Arms Supplier In Asia

Ever since the change in government in 2014, India has strived to become an exporter of goods rather than an importer. However, one area the nation lacked was its defence sector. Now, India has become a prominent defence equipment exporter and is supplying to many countries, particularly in South Asia. Moreover, the government recently banned the import of 928 foreign defence equipment. However, now, the Brahmos Cruise Missile, which is the fastest cruise missile in the world, is gaining a lot of traction. Jointly developed by Russia and India, Brahmos is a supersonic cruise missile that can travel at a speed of more than Mach 2.8. Now, Many countries are showing their interest, with the Philippines having signed a $375 million deal with India. It is worth noting that the whole RnD process of Brahmos took place in India, and it sells for around $5 million for each missile.  

Huawei Sets Up New Brand For Intelligent Driving

China is the second-biggest economy in the world, and recently, the country has been performing quite well in the automobile industry. Companies like BYD are entering new and unchartered territories and expanding their business. On the same note, one of China’s biggest companies, Huawei, has also announced a new brand for intelligent driving. 

The new brand, called the Qiankun, intends to use intelligent solutions to enhance the user’s driving experience by improving chassis, audio, and driver’s seats in cars. The announcement was made by the CEO of Huawei’s Intelligent Automobile Solutions (IAS) business unit. He also stated, “2024 will be the first year for mass commercialisation of smart driving, and the cumulative number of cars on the road equipping with the Huawei self-driving system will top 500,000 by the year-end.
