On Monday, Flipkart announced the expansion of its workforce by around 2.2 lakh ahead of festivals. The plan includes a 10% opportunity for women and further job opportunities for people with disabilities and LGBTQIA members.
Additionally, freshers will be recruited at a rate of approximately 15% to perform various tasks, such as packers, pickers, delivery executives, and sorters. Flipkart is expanding its job opportunities, infrastructure, and technology deployment across 28 states.
The hired 2.2 lakh workforce will be employed across deliveries, warehouse, team leads, and customer experience verticals. Flipkart has also decided to establish 650 new offices for delivery in tier 2 and 3 cities, such as Kundli, Siliguri, and Jakhar, to ensure instant connectivity.
At the end of 2025, the Supply Chain Operations Academy of the Company will increase the skills and knowledge of 10,000 newly added associates. Additionally, approximately 6,000 students pursuing their degrees have received training in supply operations through a mix of digital and classroom instruction.

At the same time, Flipkart-owned Myntra has launched its M-Now service in Hyderabad. Following strong customer adoption in Bengaluru, Mumbai, and the Delhi NCR region, the company plans to extend its speedy delivery assistance to Hyderabad. Myntra is expanding in Hyderabad ahead of the festive season due to a growing customer base and will use a dark-store-led fulfilment model for its services.
