The manufacturing sector in India has long been a key contributor to its economic growth, contributing approximately 17% to the nation’s GDP as of 2023. According to the India Brand Equity Foundation (IBEF), India is on track to become a global manufacturing hub by 2030, potentially adding more than US$500 billion annually to the global economy. As the world shifts its focus to sustainability, this massive production push highlights the urgent need for environmentally responsible practices in manufacturing. While sustainability has become a widely discussed topic, some companies are not just discussing it but actively turning it into a reality. One such company that is leading this charge is Greenfield Tech Projects. With a legacy spanning over 30 years, Greenfield Tech has established itself at the forefront of engineering advancements, particularly in sustainability and waste management. Their mission goes beyond mere compliance—they are actively reshaping the industry by converting waste into valuable resources, significantly reducing environmental impact and enhancing operational efficiency. Greenfield Tech Projects has pioneered advanced waste treatment and recycling systems, helping industries drastically reduce their carbon footprint. Their efforts align seamlessly with India’s broader initiatives such as “Swachh Bharat” and “Make in India.” Greenfield’s waste-towealth solutions have positioned them as key players in driving sustainable industrial practices nationwide. In a recent interview with TradeFlock, Krishpy Zala Wadhwa, Partner at Greenfield Tech Projects, outlined the company’s future vision. She emphasised the company’s unwavering commitment to sustainability, driven by continuous investment in research and development (R&D).

We are not just delivering machinery, but comprehensive, future-ready solutions that address both economic and environmental challenges.

How does your company’s vision drive your commitment to utilising waste and recycled products in your manufacturing processes?

“Sustainable manufacturing is not just a trend, it’s the future of responsible production.” Our company’s vision deeply aligns with the idea that sustainable manufacturing is the way forward. We are committed to reducing waste and incorporating recycled materials throughout our processes, ensuring that we maximise every resource. As an OEM, we view our role not just as manufacturers but as stewards of the environment, responsible for minimising our impact. To achieve this, we continually invest in advanced technologies and practices that allow us to repurpose byproducts and reduce excess materials. We also extend this vision to our supply chain, collaborating with partners who share our sustainability goals and values. Together, we ensure that resources are utilised efficiently and any materials that can’t be reused internally are sent to certified recycling vendors. Our core value states – “Waste is only waste if you waste it.” This philosophy underpins every decision we make, reinforcing our belief that what others discard can often be transformed into a valuable resource.

How do you ensure your solutions meet the unique needs of diverse industries while maintaining innovation and quality?

As an ISO-certified company, we implement a highly structured & personalised approach and our processes are rigorously monitored to guarantee compliance with the highest standards. Our team of experienced engineers meticulously oversees each phase of the manufacturing process, ensuring precision and quality at every step. Moreover, we source materials exclusively from NABL-accredited labs, ensuring the reliability and durability of our products. In addition, we conduct thorough third-party audits tailored to the specific requirements of each project, reinforcing our commitment to delivering solutions that are not only innovative but also perfectly aligned with your industry’s needs. This comprehensive approach ensures that every solution we provide is both cuttingedge and dependable.

Can you elaborate on your focus on education, particularly with Mannat software?

Education has always been at the heart of what we do. We believe that quality education should be accessible to everyone, regardless of socio-economic status. Mannat is our flagship software aimed at transforming the educational landscape. It offers interactive digital content tailored for all levels of education, making learning more engaging and effective. We’ve focused on affordability, providing schools with advanced panels and digital content at a fraction of the cost charged by other players. Our vision is to connect students with the best teachers through technology, especially in rural areas with limited access to quality education. We’re also addressing teachers’ digital literacy to create a ripple effect that will uplift educational standards across India.

Can you share a recent innovation by Greenfield Tech Projects and its impact on the industry?

At Greenfield Tech, we’ve cracked the code for transforming hazardous industrial waste into valuable resources. Our latest innovation turns aluminium smelter waste—laden with toxic cyanide and fluoride— into a coal-like byproduct. What’s exciting is that this process doesn’t just neutralise harmful substances; it repurposes them, giving waste a new life while reducing environmental impact. It’s a perfect example of our “Waste to Wealth” philosophy, driving sustainability with real-world impact. By embracing the Reduce-Reuse-Recycle model, we’re actively contributing to the Swachh Bharat mission and changing how industries approach waste.

How do you balance custom, smallbatch projects with high-volume production while ensuring top-notch after-sales service and customer satisfaction?

At Greenfield Tech Projects, every project is an asset— whether it’s a small pilot or a large-scale production. We maintain the same level of precision and engineering standards for all projects, ensuring that quality is never compromised. What drives every step of our process is the mindset which believes that –

"EXCELLENCE IS NOT A SKILL, IT'S AN ATTITUDE."

When it comes to aftersales service, we pride ourselves on being proactive and always available to our national and international clients 24/7. Our meticulous documentation during manufacturing allows us to address any postdelivery concerns swiftly. Furthermore, we educate both our machine operators and clients, equipping them to foresee and prevent downtime. In everything we do, from manufacturing to customer support, our approach is built on industry-backed experience and a commitment to excellence.

As you expand globally, what markets are you targeting, and what challenges do you foresee?

Our expansion strategy is focused primarily on the SAARC countries and the Gulf region. We already have a strong presence in Dubai, and we’re looking to expand further into neighbouring countries. The challenge is to adapt our offerings to meet the specific needs of these markets, particularly in terms of cultural and educational nuances. However, we’re confident that our blend of high-quality products and localised solutions will resonate well. Additionally, the scalability of our software solutions makes it easier for us to enter these new markets. We plan to position ourselves not just as hardware providers but as comprehensive solutions partners offering both hardware and software for educational transformation. Our vision isn’t just about expanding market share; it’s about creating an ecosystem where digital education is accessible, affordable, and transformative for every student in India, no matter where they are.”

What legacy do you hope Digital Live Services will leave behind?

Our goal is to be remembered as a company that not only excelled in business but also made a tangible difference in society. We want to leave behind a legacy of making digital education accessible to everyone, regardless of their background. As we continue to grow, our focus remains on giving back to society, whether through our educational initiatives or by creating more opportunities through our manufacturing and R&D efforts. Ultimately, we want to be seen as a company that didn’t just chase profits but also stood for something greater.
