Gaurav Gupta, the former Chief Growth Officer at JSW MG Motor India Pvt. Ltd., joined TVS Motors as president of India 2W (two-wheeler) business on Monday, February 3, 2025. His last working day at JSW MG Motors was January 31, 2025.
Radhakrishnan welcomed Gaurav Gupta to TVS, stating, “We are confident that under his leadership, we will further strengthen our market position and constitute to set benchmarks.”
Mr Gupta will report to KN Radhakrishnan, Director & CEO of TVS Motors. He will head the India 2W business, both ICE (Internal Combustion Engine) and EV (Electric Vehicle) that is taking over the automobile industry. The new president has over 3 decades of experience and has worked in different geographies, including China, India, Dubai, Indonesia, Vietnam, and the ASEAN markets.
Gaurav Gupta joined JSW MG Motor India from Bridgestone Tire Indonesia in September 2018, where he was the MD (Managing Director) of the company. In JSW MG Motor India, Gaurav Gupta served for around 6.5 years. He also served General Motors in India as the sales & marketing head.
As Gaurav Gupta leaves the company, JSW MG Motor India is expected to witness a major stir in management. The company is also searching for a CEO (Chief Executive Officer) as Rajeev Chaba, the current CEO, is scheduled to superannuate in March 2025.
