India and Russia signed 16 agreements covering defence, trade, economy, healthcare, academia, culture, and media. Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a joint press conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin at the 23rd India-Russia Annual Summit in New Delhi.Â
During this meeting, Narendra Modi said that the India-Russia friendship will give the courage to overcome challenges, and that this confidence will enhance the shared future of both nations.
He further said that India and Russia have been standing together to fight against terrorism, reiterated his strong belief that terrorism is a direct attack on the values of humanity, and said global harmony is the biggest strength against terrorism.
Prime Minister Modi said that both nations are working toward an early conclusion of a free Trade Agreement with the Eurasian Economic Union. He announced that India will be launching a free 30-day e-tourist visa and a 30-day Group Tourist Visa for Russian citizens.

On the other hand, Russia has determined to adopt the framework agreement to enter the International Big Cat Alliance. Narendra Modi said that Russian President Putin attended the bilateral talks and achieved several milestones. He said that, over the next ten years, India-Russia has stood the test of time amid all the chaos.
