IndiGo revealed on Sunday that it is buying another 30 A350 aircraft from Airbus, bringing its overall order to 60 of these planes.
Last year in April, the airline ordered 30 A350 planes and could order up to 70 more if they chose.
IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers said at a press conference in Delhi that it has finalised an order for 30 of the 70 aeroplanes being considered.
The airline has placed orders for over 900 aeroplanes and will receive them in the future.
The country’s largest airline is expanding its international network and will operate flights to 10 new overseas cities with leased Boeing 787 planes in the current fiscal year ending March 2026.
