On Thursday, India’s leading IT service firm, Wipro, said that its chief financial officer, Jatin Dalal, quit its 21-year stint with the company. India’s fourth-largest software services company has appointed insider Aparna C Iyer as its new CFO.
Dalal’s resignation is another in a string of high-level exits at the IT giant in the last year. He will leave the firm at the end of November.
Iyer will take over as CFO on Friday, 22 September, according to a stock exchange disclosure by Wipro. She will report to CEO Thierry Delaporte and will be a part of the executive board of Wipro. Iyer, a chartered accountant, joined Wipro in April 2003 and was formerly senior vice president (SVP) of finance and chief financial officer of Wipro’s FullStride Cloud subsidiary.
Dalal, who has been Wipro’s CFO since 2015, submitted his resignation letter on Thursday and said he is looking to seek professional pursuits outside the company.
Top executives who left Wipro within the last 12 months included chief operating officer Sanjeev Singh; country head Satya Easwaran; SVP and head of healthcare and medical devices for the Americas Mohd Haque; and SVP and head of the manufacturing and hi-tech business unit.
