TransBnk: Building the Digital Backbone of Modern Banking Infrastructure

For years, business banking has not matched the speed and integration offered by retail apps. Among the challenges are confusing traditional systems, isolated banking software, manual checks, and slow onboarding, which make it difficult for companies, lenders, and financial institutions to process transactions. TransBnk, a rapidly growing fintech company headquartered in Delhi and Mumbai, is addressing this issue by developing open finance and API-driven banking tools. Launched in 2022, it aims to bridge legal gaps in modern transactions and make banking seamless, secure, and adaptable to institutional needs.

From Legacy to API-First Banking

Enterprisebanking workflows have often relied on outdated technology, making it difficult to obtain real-time cash flow updates, causing payment delays and complicating compliance. Many banks still use batch processing for reconciliation, legacy systems for leader management, and custom integrations for each corporate client, all of which add time and cost for everyone involved. TransBnk is transforming this landscape with a flexible, API-first platform that simplifies complexity and enables banks, NBFCs, fintechs and large companies to use financial tools.

It offers over 1400 APIs for cash and treasury management, regulated accounts, supply chain, customer onboarding and embedded finance, all designed to meet strict regulatory and operational standards worldwide.

Born from Transaction Banking Expertise

TransBnk was founded in 2022 by industry experts including Vaibhav Tambe (CEO), Lavin Kotian (CTO), Pulak Jain (CBO), and Sachin Gupta (CPO), each with deep expertise in banking, compliance, and fintech product leadership.

Driven by a shared vision to modernise business banking infrastructure, the team began with a small core and set out to build a secure, scalable, and compliant platform to support complex transaction workflows that legacy systems traditionally handled.

In its early days, the platform focused on building the essential tools and welcoming its first customers.  By 2023, key partnerships with major banks helped it grow, and today TransBnk stands at the intersection of fintech and enterprise banking, no longer an experiment but a vital part of financial infrastructure.

Technological Stack – Where AI, Web 3 and SaaS Converge

What sets TransBnk apart is not just its enterprise focus but the advanced technology powering its platform. Built on SaaS principles and combining AI, blockchain, and secure Web2/Web3 tech, TransBnk offers real-time, reliable, and adaptable financial operations.

The platform’s design enables quick integration with banks and clients, supporting essential functions such as KYC or AML workflows, transaction monitoring, automated reconciliation and modern treasury management. This mix of technologies helps management grow with confidence, regardless of their location or the complexity of their needs.

Funding Trajectory and Strategic Momentum

TransBnk’s investor story reflects strong market confidence. After a $1 million seed round in 2023, it raised $4 million in Series A on August 21, 2024, to expand banking partnerships and deepen its feature set, with investments by 8i Ventures, Accion Venture Lab, and GMO Venture Capital.

The most significant milestone arrived in 2025, when TransBnk secured $25 million on 25 August in a Series B funding round led by Bessemer Venture Partners, with participation from Arkam Ventures, Fundamentum Partnership, 8i Ventures, Accion Venture Lab, and Japan’s GMO Venture Partners.

According to Finextra Research, this infusion brings the total raised to about $30 million and is accompanied by a valuation that has increased multiple times. The capital will fuel geographic expansion, particularly in Southeast Asia and the Middle East Asia, to expand its technology and to produce talent.

Notable Achievements and Market Traction

According to Finextara Research, TransBnk is no longer a concept; it processes more than 110 million transactions per month, manages flows across 11,000 bank accounts, and powers operations via over 1500 APIs.

According to Indian Startup Times research, clients span across fintechs, leaders and corporates with the platform integrated into more than 40 banks, from private and public sector banks to multinational and small finance institutions.

These achievements highlight TransBnk’s expanding role in democratising access to financial infrastructure, helping businesses that previously faced fragmented banking capabilities to automate cash flows, manage escrow accounts, reconcile transactions, and integrate banking services directly into their workflows.

Strategic Partnerships: Connecting Banks with Innovation

TransBnk’s success relies on building strong partnerships with banks and financial institutions. By helping banks upgrade their transaction systems smoothly, TransBnk becomes a powerful tool, enabling them to deliver advanced services without disrupting their legacy systems. This teamwork approach is a practical step toward overcoming the tech challenges that have hindered digital progress in finance.

TransBnk strategic collaborators include DigiAlly. In November 2025, TransBnk and Singapore-based DigiAlly announced a strategic partnership to deliver an end-to-end, paperless, scalable digital transaction banking and credit enablement journey for corporates, banks, NBFCs and fintech across the ASEAN regions.

In November 2025, TransBnk partnered with financial technology solution provider QuantLeap and signed an MoU to drive transaction banking innovation across the ASEAN region.

In May 2023, TransBnk partnered with the Mufin Group (Hindon Mercantile Ltd), a non-banking financial company (NBFC), to provide transaction banking solutions, particularly escrow management.

Market Opportunity: Riding the Fintech Wave

The global transactions banking and corporate finance infrastructure market is massive, spanning trillions of dollars in annual flows. In India alone, the digital finance ecosystem continues to scale rapidly, supported by increased smartphone adoption, RBI initiatives on digital onboarding, and a thriving fintech landscape.

Within this backdrop, TransBnk services are not just timely but essential, as businesses demand real-time capabilities and greater financial visibility into cross-institution operations.

Why TransBnk Matters?

Simply, TransBnk matters because it provides what modern finance increasingly demands but legacy systems struggle to deliver: connectivity, speed, transparency and programmability. It is the missing layer between banks and businesses, enabling a shared backbone that supports innovation without compromising security or compliance.

In a fast-changing world where agility and integration are key, TransBnk has crafted a compelling story that resonates with investors, customers, and the broader financial community.
