The packaged food company Britannia on Friday named Ranjeet Kohli as the company’s new chief executive officer (CEO) with effect from September 26, 2022. At the same time, Varun Berry, the company’s current managing director, has been appointed as Executive Vice Chairman and Managing Director with immediate effect.

I look forward to partnering with Rajneet to lead us to the next phase of growth,” Varun Berry, Executive Vice Chairman and Managing Director said in a statement on Friday.
Before Britannia, Kohli worked at Jubilant FoodWorks (JFL), another food service company. In his two-decade career, Kohli held various positions, including Asian Paints and Coca-Cola.
On Friday, the Board of Directors approved the appointment of Ranjeet Kohli along with Varun Berry as Managing Director and Executive Vice Chairman of the company.
Berry was appointed as Managing Director of Britannia for a period of five years, i.e., from April 1, 2014, to March 31, 2019. Then, in a board meeting held on May 15, 2018, the board exceeded his tenure for the next five years, from April 1, 2019, to March 31, 2024.

For the year ended in March 2022, Britannia reported ₹13,371.62 crores from operations.
