Wipro Loses CTO Subha Tatavarti Amid Leadership Changes

After serving for three years at tech giant Wipro, Subha Tatavatri has decided to step down. However, this is not the first resignation. Many C-suite-level officers have already resigned from their positions to pursue opportunities outside of Wipro. They include Amit Choudhary (ex-COO of Wipro), Anis Chenchah (Ex-chief executive of APMEA in Wipro), and Ajit Mahale (former chief delivery officer at Wipro).

Subha Tatavarti joined Wipro in March 2021 under the former CEO, Thierry Delaporte. She used to conduct her operations from the San Francisco Bay Area. Her departure, following Srini Pallia’s appointment as CEO in April, represents the fourth major exit from Delaporte’s team. With two decades of experience in the IT industry, Tatavarti’s expertise spans product development, delivery, lifecycle management, cloud computing services, and data technology and analytics. Before joining Wipro, Tatavarti worked at Walmart, where she led product development, technology advancement, and the commercialization of enterprise infrastructure, among other roles. She holds a Master’s in Computer Science from George Mason University and a Bachelor’s from Delhi University.

After dealing with over 20 senior exits in the past two years, Wipro faced its most notable departure at the end of 2023, when former CFO Jatin Dalal joined global competitor Cognizant Technology Solutions.
