Among India’s top 10 most valued firms, the Mcap of 4 firms, namely Tata Consultancy Services, HDFC Bank, ICICI Bank, and SBI declined by Rs 96,605.66. Among these companies, HDFC witnessed the sharpest loss, with its valuation dropping by Rs 37,025.46 to Rs 13,37,919.84 crore. The value of ICICI dropped by Rs 29,324.55 crore, and TCS and SBI Mcap decreased by Rs 24,856.26 crore and Rs 5,399.39 crore, respectively. Their current market capitalisation is Rs 8,93,144.50 crore, 14,83,144.53 crore, and Rs 7,08,168.60 crore, respectively.
In contrast, major market players like Reliance Industries, Bharti Airtel, Infosys, Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC), ITC, and Hindustan Unilever recorded gains. Reliance Industries’ Mcap grew by Rs 41,138.41 crore to Rs 16,93,373.48 crore, retaining its position as the most valued firm in the market. Hindustan Unilever’s value grew by Rs 15,331.08 crore to Rs 5,65,194.18 crore, LIC gained Rs 13,282.49 crore to reach Rs 5,74,689.29 crore, and Infosys surged by Rs 9,031.19 crore, pushing its value to Rs 8,04,834.34 crore. These firms collectively added Rs 82,861.16 crore in their Mcap.
ITC’s market cap grew by Rs 3,878.63 crore to Rs 6.03,064 crore. Bharti Airtel added Rs 199.36 crore, bringing its valuation to Rs 9,10,934.58 crore. During the same period, the Nifty and BSE benchmark index grew, climbing 191.35 points and 524.04 points, respectively.
