Meta has significantly upgraded its AI chatbot and expanded its capabilities in the creative editing segment. This new update adds multiple language support to the chatbot, enabling it to respond in Devanagari and Roman script Hindi. It also adds creative features, such as “Imagine me.”
As per Meta’s newsroom, the chatbot is available in 22 countries, including Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Mexico, Peru, and Cameroon. Further, they mentioned that languages like French, German, Italian, Portuguese, and Spanish will also be added to its multilingual functionality. Meta has already integrated its AI chatbot into WhatsApp, Facebook, and Instagram. Moreover, the chatbot will now be integrated into the feed, stories, and comments sections of Meta’s social media platforms: Instagram and Facebook.
The company mentioned, “This is just the start — we’re listening to your feedback, updating Meta AI every two weeks to enhance your experience and innovating quickly to bring new features to help you create, get inspired and get more done.”
The new update also upgraded the creative capabilities of the chatbot with its image generation and editing abilities. The “Imagine me” feature of the chatbot allows its users to upload images of themselves and generate their custom images based on the scenario they are posting. Suppose you uploaded an image of yourself and want to test how you will look in different hairstyles. Simply add commands like “Imagine me in trendy buzz cut” or “Imagine me baking cookies,” etc. This feature is poised to improve the user experience and will improve Chabot’s presence. However, this feature is still in the testing phase and is only available in the US.
Users will also be able to edit the images generated by the Meta AI by tweaking their prompts, such as changing a cookie to a cake or altering hairstyles. Various news outlets also confirm that the “EditwithAI” button, set to be introduced next month by the company, to enhance the image editing capabilities further.
