JioBlackRock Mutual Fund is a 50:50 joint venture between India’s Jio Financial Services and BlackRock, the world’s largest asset manager. It is authorized by SEBI and combines BlackRock’s global investing expertise with Jio’s massive digital reach to offer simple, tech-driven, and affordable investment options to Indian investors. In this new role, Rajiv Chhabria will lead the company’s sales, growth, and partner networks across India. He brings nearly 22 years of rich experience in the Indian financial sector.Â
Before joining this new joint venture, Chhabria worked for 15 years at Sundaram Asset Management. His final role at that company was Deputy Chief Business Officer. During his long and successful stay there, he managed key business relationships with big banks, wealth managers and large national distributors. He also handled important fund investments for corporate clients.Â
Chhabria started his mutual fund career at Principal Mutual Fund. There, he worked in the data analytics and technology division to support business growth. Later, he joined Daiwa Asset Management, where he built strong sales networks with independent financial advisors across the country.Â
For his education, Chhabria completed his MBA from the S.P. Jain Institute of Management and Research (SPJIMR). This is one of India’s top business colleges. His strong academic background and long industry career make him a perfect fit to grow JioBlackRock’s asset management business.Â
