ServiceNow Backs BusinessNext with $40M Investment

Banking tech company BusinessNext has raised $40 million from ServiceNow Ventures. This investment gives ServiceNow a roughly 5% stake in BusinessNext. It also values the financial software company at $700 million. This is a massive jump from its $181 million valuation in 2021.

Led by CEO Nishant Singh, the company makes over $50 million in yearly revenue and employs nearly 1,300 people. BusinessNext builds AI-powered software for banks. This includes smart tools for customer service, digital loans and automated workflows. The company serves over 120 big financial firms, including State Bank of India and HDFC Bank. Its tools are used by one million banking workers across 75,000 branches. These workers serve more than one billion retail customers.

BusinessNext will use the new money to upgrade its smart banking tools. It plans to build safe, private AI solutions. These solutions will follow strict global banking laws and data security rules. The funding will also help the company grow into new overseas markets. These target markets include Southeast Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.

The deal connects BusinessNext’s customer tools with ServiceNow’s back-office tech. This creates a unified, AI-driven platform for banks. CEO Nishant Singh stated that the company is not planning an immediate IPO. Instead, it will focus on global expansion. This deal shows that giant tech firms want to team up with specialised AI software creators.
