The India-France business summit will be held in Paris on Tuesday to mark the 25 years of friendship between India and France. Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Industry and Commerce, and Olivier Becht, France’s Minister delegate of foreign trade, will co-chair this summit.
The officials said the focus of this summit would be the strategies to build a green future, emerging technologies, and defence cooperation in Indo-Pacific regions.
According to ANI, approximately 400 participants have registered for this business summit, and local businesses show great enthusiasm. The Indian Embassy will organise this Indo-France business summit in partnership with Business France, CII, Medef, and IFFCI. Piyush Goyal will be on a three-day visit to France-Italy from Tuesday to Thursday, meeting the French business leaders across different sectors and attending a CEOs roundtable. Apart from this, Goyal will also be accompanied by a delegation of top Indian CEOs.
In the Press Release, the Ministry of Commerce and Industry stated “Goyal along with French Minister Olivier Becht will participate in a gala dinner event hosted by the Ambassador of India to France and Monaco Jawed Ashraf that will showcase India’s cultural heritage and soft power and expected to witness the participation of 650 dignitaries from the French government, the Indian Business Diaspora in France and members of French business community. The Minister will also be interacting with members of the Indian community in Paris.”

After that, Piyush Goyal will meet with Anotonio Tajani, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Business Cooperation and dignitaries from the industry and government in Rome, Italy. On April 13, Goyal is also scheduled to attend the bilateral meeting, followed by an interactive session where he will meet top Italian CEOs.
It is expected that 35 CEOs would like to participate in this interactive business session.
This three-day business summit is expected to strengthen the bilateral relations between India andFrance. It also provides momentum and lets India discuss future opportunities with its key business partners in the European region.
