Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) announced that it has accepted a letter of intent (LOI) worth ₹2,600 crore for supplying key equipment to its 1×800 MW Annupur thermal power project in Madhya Pradesh from MB Power.
The Letter of Intent outlines the supply of a boiler, turbine, generator, and related auxiliary equipment, along with control and instrumentation. The project will use supercritical technology. The BHEL Trichy plant will manufacture the boiler, and the turbine generator will be made at the Haridwar facility. The supply must be completed within 58 months, as per the LOI.
BHEL is a comprehensive power plant equipment manufacturer, offering design, engineering, manufacturing, erection, testing, commissioning, and servicing of various products and systems.

The company’s net loss grew to Rs 445.50 crore in Q1 FY26, compared to a net loss of Rs 211.40 crore in Q1 FY25. Revenue from operations experienced a slight year-on-year (YoY) increase of 0.03%, reaching Rs 5,486.91 crore for the quarter ending on June 30, 2025.
Shares of Bharat Heavy Electricals (BHEL) rose by 0.32% to Rs 217.60 on the Bombay Stock Exchange (BSE).
