SAP Labs India has officially inaugurated its new €194 million Innovation Park in Bengaluru on August 5, marking a major milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy.
Designed to accommodate up to 15,000 professionals, the state-of-the-art campus is set to become one of SAP’s largest development hubs worldwide, reinforcing India’s pivotal role in the company’s innovation ecosystem.
Positioned close to Bengaluru airport, the SAP facility was unveiled by Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, IT Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, and senior SAP leaders Thomas Saueressig and Sindhu Gangadharan.
“India’s position as a global technology force stems not just from scale, but from innovation, adaptability, and determination,” noted Sindhu Gangadharan.
The campus will act as a base for product engineering, client engagement, and enterprise AI advancements.
Saueressig described the facility as a “worldwide innovation hub” helping SAP customers “translate insight into impact” through India-built enterprise AI and data technologies.
At the event, Vaishnaw hailed the investment as a “timely boost” to India’s growth under the ‘Viksit Bharat 2047’ vision, highlighting it as a strong signal of global confidence in India’s talent.
To celebrate the launch, SAP Labs India revealed collaborations, including a €100,000 investment with EduBridge to train 400+ disadvantaged youth in AI roles, and a partnership with IIT Madras for AI-based brain research to forecast health risks and suggest treatments using public data.

India, home to over 17,300 SAP employees, is the company’s largest talent hub after Germany.
