Wipro announced on Monday the appointment of Satya Easwaran, a former executive at consultancy KPMG, as its India’s head.
The company said that Satya would be in charge of strengthening IT major Wipro’s business in India across key sectors through strategic consulting, transformation, and modernisation engagements in a statement on Monday.
“India is a strategic market for Wipro, and I am excited to welcome Satya to promote our bold ambition for growth and leadership here. Easwaran’s rich international experience in delivering high-value consultancy services and his track record of building successful sales and leadership teams will help strengthen Wipro’s positioning as a trusted partner for Indian clients”, CEO of APMEA (Asia Pacific/Middle East/Africa) and member of Wipro Executive Board Anis Chenchah said.
Satya will help clients leverage Wipro capabilities and investment in Cloud, Digital, Engineering R&D, Data/Analytics and Cybersecurity to succeed in their business and digital transformation initiatives.
With an engineering degree in Electronics from Mumbai University and an MBA in Finance and International Business from Leavy School of Business, Santa Clara University, Easwaran has global work experience driving end-to-end business transformation programs in leading enterprises in different sectors. Before joining Wipro, he was a leading business consultancy and the telecom, KPMG India and Accenture India.
In his tenure at KPMG in India & USA and Accenture in India, he held multiple leadership positions in management consulting focusing on SaaS (Software as a Service), cloud, digital, strategy, and transformation.
