Ashok Leyland, the Indian flagship of the Hinduja Group and India’s leading commercial vehicle manufacturers, announced the appointment of Ganesh Mani as President and Chief of Operations. In his role, he will head the entire operations of Ashok Leyland including Manufacturing, Sourcing, and Supply Chain, the company said in a press release.
In regard to this appointment, Dheeraj G Hinduja, Executive Chairman, said, “I am delighted to announce his appointment. Ganesh brings over three decades of rich experience to Ashok Leyland, and his expertise in the field of Manufacturing Process, Strategy and Formulation is well-known. Before joining Ashok Leyland, Ganesh was the Director of Manufacturing Operations at Hyundai Motors. He also served as a member of the Board of Directors at Hyundai. Besides this, he worked at Maruti also. Overall, he has a rich experience in the automobile segment.
Being a process-driven strategic leader, he has been a pioneer in introducing new ways of operations and challenging conventional methods.
